Proheat X45 is a powerful, diesel-powered pre-heating solution for quick and reliable cold weather starting of coaches. This versatile heater becomes part of the coach heating system, suppling added heat for the driver and passengers while reducing fuel costs and emissions from unnecessary idling. Proheat X45 also makes starting easier while reducing start-up engine wear and cold weather troubles. An integrated pump circulates heated coolant to warm the engine block. Proheat X45 features an onboard control panel that displays heater status, while an optional digital timer can mount next to the driver seat to provide convenient timer-based starting of the heater. With more than 15 years in the field, its rugged and field serviceable design has proven reliable in even the most extreme temperatures.

"If an auxiliary heater is required to maintain temperature in the passenger compartment the bidder shall supply a PROHEAT XL 45, 45,000 BTU auxiliary heater. This heater shall be equipped with an inspection port that provides a visible check of the heater flame within the heater. All electrical connectors shall be water tight and corrosion resistant.
The heater should be equipped with an electronic Heater Control Module ( HCM ) with built in microprocessor that incorporates circuit monitoring and protection. The HCM shall provide a multiple LED display with individual LED signals for major heater components and specific function errors for supplying self-diagnostic information. The HCM shall be equipped with a memory function that records intermittent fault codes for retrieval with the manufacturer's diagnostic download kit. The HCM shall also incorporate a soft start feature that utilizes solid state switching with controlled motor acceleration. (Relays are not acceptable)
The heater shall be programmed for 24-Volt power. The heater shall be supplied with an independent fuel pump. The heater shall be equipped with a sealess, magnetic coupled water pump offering 8 gallons per minute minimum flow.
The auxiliary heater shall carry a two year warranty on parts and labor.""

The heater shall be equipped with a digital programmable timer that can be set for a 5, 6, or 7-day program. The timer shall offer automatic reset so the Authority will have the engine. The timer shall be equipped with operation indicator lights and offer two set option to prestart the heater to warm the engine on cold mornings before starting the times to allow for flexibility in programming.
The heater shall be equipped with a momentary toggle switch (to be located at discretion of the authority) that enables the Proheat 90 minute auto preheat cycle.
The heater shall be equipped with a mechanics switch to disable the heater when the coach is being physically disabled."
